Known as Boox Kid, Jarred Wall is a First Nation (Noongar) beat creator delivering unique dreamy electropop. His Debut EP Reflections was released on 5 April, receiving over 80k streams since, with ‘I Dont Mind’ landing placement on ‘Chilled Hit’s and several other editorial playlists. Recent shows include BIGsound 2023, Nannup Music Festival, In the Pines, Perth Festival and support for George Ezra, Jen Cloher, Rockwiz, Miiesha. WAM award nominated songwriter Charlie Youngson is a young, Bridgetown based multi-instrumentalist who’s set consists of fast paced guitar work, silky vocals and catchy grooves. Music has been a huge part of Charlies life for as long as he can remember and in the past few years, he has recorded and released multiple singles and an EP from his makeshift bedroom studio. He has opened for artists including Kim Churchill, Steph Strings, Vika and Lynda bull and Vikki Thorn, all of whom are huge inspirations for his indie-folk style. The Cross Eyed Cats hail from Fremantle (mainly), Western Australia, and have been playing some Bloody Good Blues for years.
The Cap’n – Glenn Carpenter – looms large with his voice, guitar, and a pedal board so big it has a mezzanine floor for overdrives. Partial to a chat, he sings the Cats’ songs in a style some say is reminiscent of a bullfrog sippin’ Kentucky whisky. Character? I should coco! To the right of The Cap’n is Sweetlips Fitzpatrick. Grinding, prowling and bending the draw, his affinity with a much travelled and world-weary Fender Junior Blues is legendary. Dan Howls are an award-winning Alt Blues/Rock band hailing from Walyalup/ Fremantle, Western Australia. Drawing influences from Tom Waits, Gary Clarke Jr, The Black Keys and Queens of the Stone Age, figurehead Dan, known for his powerful, illustrious voice and big bluesy guitar riffs, is backed by his band of almost a decade comprised of Julia Weller (vocals, guitar) Callum Adcock (bass), and Josh Cutler (drums). Dave Hole is Australia’s premier internationally successful bluesman and highly acclaimed slide guitar virtuoso. Honey vocals, dreamy synth and vibrant guitar riffs are fast becoming the signature of indie four-piece Death by Denim. ISHAN is a 20-year-old Melbourne-based singer-songwriter with a rich tapestry of Indian, Swiss, and Spanish heritage. Born in France and relocating to Australia at a young age, ISHAN discovered his passion for music early, picking up a guitar at 7 and venturing into songwriting at 15 while recovering from spinal fusion surgery. His diverse background and exposure to various cultures and languages have profoundly influenced his musical and storytelling prowess. Genre-fluid pop artist, multi-instrumentalist and brain cancer survivor Jaime Jackett is a powerful and evocative performer based on Djugun-Yawuru Country, in Rubibi (Broome), Western Australia. Jackett’s music delicately treads the contrast between light and dark, deliberately juxtaposing them, and
playing with the patterns and shadows they create. With a dynamic voice that morphs from glass clear and sweet, to blues-drenched wails, Jackett draws in audiences with her raw delivery, story and grit. Joan & the Giants
Proving to be an act to watch in 2024, Boorloo ‘s alternative/indie pop band Joan & The Giants have recently supported global superstars P!NK and Tones & I at Optus Stadium, they landed Triple J Unearthed feature artist after the release of their latest single ‘Born in the Wrong Time’ and have embarked on a national tour. 2023 was a huge year for these giants, they showcased at BIGSOUND, supported Eskimo Joe around WA, and landed seven nominations at the WA Music Awards where they secured awards for Best Alternative/Indie Act, Best Single, and Best Music Video. They also took out three WA Song of the Year Awards for Best Rock Song, Outstanding Indigenous and Runner Up Song of the Year. Little Green
Born and raised in the Blue Mountains, Little Green dreamed of being an Olympic swimmer before pursuing music. When the time came to hang up the goggles, she applied the swimming principles she had learned to music and song writing. Coming from a musical family, Little Green’s father trained her as a toddler to recognise pitch and intervals by placing a tuning fork on the top of her head. Her mother loved the craft of song writing, introducing her to Joni Mitchell records that would form the soundtrack to her childhood. The largely self-taught musician plays flute, sax, guitar, piano, bass, and voice, prolifically writing and producing songs in her bedroom studio. Transcending boundaries, Little Green invites us into an ever-evolving tapestry of music, grounded in messages of love and healing. Little Green has released a debut album ‘little star’, showcased at BIGSOUND, SXSW Sydney and Live Nation’s Ones To Watch and supported Ziggy Alberts on his Australia and New Zealand tour. Louis Rebeiro, an 18-year-old self-taught prodigy, burst onto the scene at just 10 years old when a viral video of his piano performance took the internet by storm. After supporting the likes of Simply Red, John Paul Young, Ross (Eagle) Wilson, Thirsty Merc, and Ed Kowalczyk of the band ‘Live’; Prita moved to Berlin to pursue her international touring dream, and has been busy touring Europe, UK & Australian ever since. The growth that Prita experienced as an artist & musician finding her way in Europe was
immense. Leaving Australia in 2012 with just a suitcase, guitar and a laptop to pursue her musical dream, she landed in London and kicked off the start of touring in the UK securing a local booking agent/manager. She went on to establish a good reputation in England as an up and coming folk-roots singer-songwriter, playing radio stations, intimate gigs & festivals from the Scottish Borders all the way down to Teignmouth and everywhere between.
After establishing herself in the UK she went on to relocate herself to Berlin. This proved to be a favourite base for Prita as a songwriter, creative and artist, satiating her wunderlust for learning new languages and cultures she went on to build a solo touring circuit encompassing all of Germany, Norway, Estonia, France, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco, the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Scotland, England, Wales, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Czech Republic, & Poland.

Rochelle O’Reilly, winner of the global category in the 2024 WAM Song of the year, has travelled to many lands to infuse life and culture into her music.

New album The Mojo Dojo expands the band’s sound with upbeat boogie rock sitting alongside acoustic and psychedelic influences and is set for release on Friday 26 July. Lead single Til’ The Day has been described as ‘a blues-rock banger with more dirt in it than a 1940s Ford Pickup sitting at the bottom of a Louisiana swamp’.
South Summit
After a chance meeting at a backyard party and bonding over their diverse tastes in music it took some convincing to get all members of South Summit to join the band. Now one of Perth’s most talked about live bands, the 5 guys can’t imagine doing anything else. Hidden away from the East Coast music scene – South Summit have created a truly unique sound, not influenced by what the rest of the country is doing.
Zaya [lead vocals], Josh [bass], Fynn [lead guitar], Nemo [backing vocal, rhythm guitar], and Nathan [drums] all come from culturally different backgrounds, have hugely different tastes in music but they all share a love of connecting with people through songs. They do it with family over backyard BBQs, festival stages and even a series of shows throughout WA prisons. South Summit love playing music together, they don’t follow the traditional music industry path and the buzz their live shows are receiving prove that fans are loving them too.With a their new single, Givin’ It Up just around the corner and a new National Tour to be announced, 2024 will be the year of South Summit.

Since winning the Emerging Artist award at Nannup Music festival in 2020, Sunday Lemonade have created a fizz as the infectious rom-com act of the Australian indie folk scene.
Loz & Tys have supported Australian favourites such as 19-Twenty, Thirsty Merc, The Rubens, Ash Grunwald, Steph Strings & the Pierce Brothers amidst multiple nation wide tours, featured on festival line ups alongside Little Georgia, The Bamboos and Tones & I, and most recently taken out the People’s Choice award as a top 10 buskers finalist at Tamworth Country Music festival.

The Floors
The Floors are a reckless wall of Bass fuzz fury, face-pummeling Drums, crazed Electric Guitar noise, all washing over Luke Dux’s guttural howl. But it’s not just this sonic bombardment that gives The Floors their power. For all of the volume and fuzz, The Floors are merely amplifying the original and most primal spirit of the blues… its heaviness. These three crazed West Australians have supported Kim Salmon, Buzzcocks, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, King Khan & BBQ Show and X to name a few. Featuring Brothers Luke (Vocals/Guitar) and Ryan (Bass) and Ash Doodkorte (Drums). Luke and Ryan took home West Australian Music Industry Awards for Best Guitarist and Best Bassist respectively in both 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014. And the band was awarded the WAM award for Best Blues Act 2014. They have released ‘Live at the Bird’ 2011, ‘Deadbeat’ 2012, Bones 7” 2013 and ‘Beat it Down’ 2017 out thru Brittany Label BEAST Records.

Tom Fisher & the Layabouts
WINNERS of WAM’s Song of The Year for the Blues & Roots category in 2019 for “Old man of the blues” from their album Spend a Little Time. Tom Fisher & The Layabouts bring the heart of current country blues rock to the WA touring and festival circuit. Fronted by the enigmatic Fisher (son of renowned WA muso Jim) and powered by an experienced line up of Western Australia’s most talented musicians.Evoking a southern inspired sound that touches on the likes of Tom Petty, Springsteen, Steve Earle and others, combined with Fisher’s powerful heartfelt song writing.
A force to be reckoned with, the Layabouts live, high energy and polished set can range from heartbreaking country ballads to screeching slide guitar blues/rock stompers. As a live act they never miss and are constantly asked back to festivals to get the crowd sipping beer and kicking their heels up, which suits Tom Fisher and the Layabouts to a tee.
Tracey Barnett
Tracey Barnett is not only a singer/songwriter but a multi-instrumentalist dedicated to creating the songs and sounds that infiltrate her imagination and bringing them to her devoted audience. Born and raised in the idyllic South West hamlet of Bridgetown – regional Western Australia’s home of the blues – Tracey has recorded and released two EPS, two albums plus numerous singles and played hundreds of headline and festival shows over the last 15 years.
Tracey’s songs contain the best flavours of blues, rock and folk and are made all the more endearing (and enduring) by the pop sensibilities she imbues in them. Her second album, 2021’s Eyes Forward featured four successful WAM Song Of The Year Award-nominated singles – Gotta Get Out, Eyes Forward, Darkness In The Light and Haunted – and marked her second piece of work with producer James Newhouse, whom she credits with helping to find a new freedom in the studio.
The Tuck Shop Ladies
The triceps ain’t what they used to be, but the funny bone has only gotten sharper. The Tuck Shop Ladies are an amalgamation of Australian folk music darlings Sam Lohs (Fruit) and Rosie Burgess (Rosie Burgess Trio). Armed with a pair of ukuleles and the sharpest of wits, the duo pull back the curtain to share an intimate selection of songs that truly showcase the ridiculousness of everyday life, in effortless harmony. Since forming in 2019, the pair have taken the folk scene by storm, playing a huge number of festivals across Australia. Renowned for the joy they bring, and their palpable connection, the Tuck Shop Ladies bring a breath of fresh air to the
stage with their infectious humour and audience engagement.
Their live show is an insight into the relationship of touring musicians, and the result of what happens when everyday life is a Broadway musical. The Tuck Shop Ladies invite you into their hilarious world and leave you wanting to run away on tour with the band.
Whiskey Nips
The Whiskey Nips are a 5-piece blues fusion band performing new and original blues music to audiences around the south-west of Western Australia. The Nips deliver high-energy music infused with elements of funk, rock, soul, psychedelia, and jazz leaving audiences around the state wanting more. Leading the band on vocals is Kirsty Finn. She captivates audiences with her raw and heartfelt vocals channelling the spirit of the blues with soulful lyrics and searing melodies. On harmonica and slide guitar is Andrew Pring – also known as Blew Drew.
He seamlessly blends power and finesse, delivering explosive solos and soulful melodies impressing audiences with his speed and versatility. Guitar virtuoso Daniel Wiggins is a rising star in the WA music scene. He effortlessly weaves rhythm and lead guitar to infuse the music with his distinctive touch. In their live shows the dynamic guitar and harmonica duels are something to behold leaving audiences spellbound.
