What’s the best thing about playing festivals?
It’s a great way to share your songs with people far and wide. Everyone is just likeminded and loving original music at music festivals, and we meet so many new fans each time we play and it’s such a buzz to be part of any music festival big or small. We are so grateful to be playing our first Blues at Bridgetown.
Do you have a Blues at Bridgetown experience that you’d like to share, either performing or as an audience member?
It’s our first time playing in West Australia let alone Blues at Bridgetown so I’m sure we will have an answer for that next time we come over!
Where do you feel you fit in musically along the blues and roots scale?
We can never pinpoint our genre because every song is so different, but we love blues, country honky tonk and Americana vibes. Think of our sound as Joe Cocker meets Jim Morrison mixed with Little Feat and Kings Of Leon, Crosby Stills Nash and Young all having one big jam.
What have been the highlights of your music career thus far?
Would have to be playing a song with Keith Urban at the 2025 Tamworth Country Music Festival. He was over for a presentation that same night we played a set at the Tamworth Hotel and he flew in off a helicopter, jumped up on stage with us and we did a cover of Eddie Rabbit’s Driving My Life Away and the crowd at the pub went from about 100 to 1000. It was an amazing moment we will never forget, and he must have had fun ‘cause he sent me a signed record and four tickets to his show. Our mate Keithy!
What have you been mainly focusing on in 2026 and how is it coming along?
The main focus for 2026 is definitely our new album. We are slowly recording a brand-new album in our drummer’s shed to save money on studio hire and it’s going really well. We are about four songs in and about five to go. So it’s slow, but when we get the time we get straight into the shed/studio and bang songs from start to finish in sometimes less than a few hours.
What are your plans and hopes for 2027?
Play more festivals and maybe even a regional tour. We apply for so many festivals and get knocked back a lot, so we keep trying and touching on that. We are so grateful and stoked to get the green light from Blues at Bridgetown and I promise we won’t let you down. But yeah, 2027 goals are just keep having fun writing new tunes and playing more music festivals
What can folks expect from your performances at Blues at Bridgetown?
Just good, heartfelt, authentic tunes with beautiful harmonies and nice, catchy melodies. Our shows are raw and rowdy and come straight from the heart. I love connecting with the audience, having a good yarn about life and its ups and downs and just try my best to make people as happy as I can through our songs.
